Wellbeing Regeneration has recently secured funding to set up rural wellbeing centres and we therefore have the following staff vacancies:

Vacancy:                    Activities Officer
  
Location:                    Whitland and Llandovery

Hours:                        Part-time -18 hours per week (Between
     9 am and 8.30 pm - some Saturday
     working may be required)
 
Contract Type:           Fixed term – five months initially
 
Salary:                       £18,500 pro rata

Closing Date:             21 July 2010
 
Summary:                 Wellbeing Regeneration helps people
             to embrace, enrich and enjoy their
             lives.  The organisation is growing 
             and we need motivated, 
             experienced, cheerful, friendly 
             and organised people to help deliver
             our expanded services.
 
Job Role:                   To provide a range of fun, sociable 
    activities to benefit health and wellbeing
    and co-ordinate partner information
    events in line with company policy
    and local need.
 
Additional                 As the organisation works with

                                  to undertake an Enhanced Criminal 
                                  Records Bureau disclosure.
 
                                  All posts are subject to confirmation of

    throughout the county and for certain
    programmes in other parts of the 
    region. Staff may be expected to work
    in different venues to their usual place

cutting service in line with company
policy and Hywel Dda Health Board
Podiatry Department guidelines.
                             (2) To provide therapeutic activities

Wellbeing Regeneration is always looking for volunteers and placements to help support their wide range of programmes. See the list of roles above.

If there is something you feel you could contribute that isn’t listed, please get in touch and it is quite possible we will be able to accommodate you and your interests.

Experience is not essential as training will be given; however a warm and accommodating disposition is crucial. Please see above for more information.

Volunteers must live a reasonable distance from their agreed volunteer/placement work and a driving licence and own transport would be useful. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Wellbeing Regeneration offers a wide range of opportunities for people to volunteer. Some of the roles that are available include:

• ICT Support and Tuition

• Information and Advice

Picture of a happy manWellbeing Regeneration also offers placement opportunities for organisations/companies who wish their clients/staff to personally develop, to contribute to the development of their own organisation and that of Wellbeing Regeneration, to experience first hand the ‘third sector’ and its associated idiosyncrasies and equally importantly, enjoy making a real difference in the community.

As our clients include vulnerable adults and children, CRB checks are undertaken on all staff, directors, external facilitators, placements and volunteers. Comprehensive induction is provided along with personal development training and where required, tailored courses to enable them to lead and support specialist activities.
